Presenter will lead participants through the logistics of the social learning platform, edmodo.com. Edmodo provides teachers and students with a secure, easy, and paperless way to post classroom materials, share links and videos, and access assignments and grades. Teachers can grade work that students have submitted digitally and include rubrics and specific comments for students. Edmodo also allows teachers and students the ability to store and share all forms of digital content – blogs, links, pictures, video, documents, presentations, and more. Edmodo allows students to send and receive messages via email or text, so teachers and students can communicate easily through the world of technology. Edmodo also allows teachers to connect to other educators to share resources and materials. Presenter will share many practical uses for instruction, how to avoid potential problems, and how students have responded to using edmodo.
