Reading & Writing Strategies Jeopardy Style

In contemporary education the skills of reading and writing continue to be critical areas of need. This presentation will discuss a variety of tools already present within your school that can be immediately implemented to help students achieve reading and writing goals. Participants in this workshop will learn and discuss proven tools and strategies to help structure the writing process, practice reading fluency, teach spelling, and improve overall literacy. Philosophies behind the methodologies for each tool and strategy will be discussed. This session will be conducted in a Jeopardy-style format where participants will be encouraged to play along by answering questions. Every participant will find themselves a winner by learning how to help support students in becoming better readers and writers.
