Using Java Applets from University of Colorado to do virtual science labs on laptops and other digital devices. this eliminates the conflict for use of school technology resources and compete for lab equipment. The applets can be used as demonstrations or part of a quantitative inquiry lab. Students are able to setup the lab quickly, do not have to worry about introduced errors, and are given a safer environment in which to learn.
