Want to be able to quickly determine what percentage of your class understands a particular topic? Come learn how to incorporate exciting, engaging, and interactive technology into your classroom. Participants will learn how to develop and use quick formative assessments with interactive sites such as Plicker, Google Forms, and Kahoots.
SnagIt is a software program that is installed on all LCPS AV computers and can be used to convert online videos or pictures into MP4s, WMV files, and many other formats.
SnagIt can also be used for creating screen capturing videos. Using SnagIt, educators can essentially video record a lesson of their own making using their voice, their materials, and can fit the lesson into a school appropriate timeframe. Videos such as this have a endless uses including being uploaded to VISION for student review, a place to send students who were absent, and as a window into your classroom for parents, administrators, and student teachers or mentees. SnagIt videos can also be played by substitutes for a planned absence.

The applets can be used as demonstrations or part of a quantitative inquiry lab. Students are able to setup the lab quickly, do not have to worry about introduced errors, and are given a safer environment in which to learn.
